- Corrine Cruz is an exciting and powerful female vocalist with 25 years experience fronting many bands in Austin, Texas, the Rio Grande Valley, most of the states in the Southwest, and here in Dallas. Her diverse experience includes Blues, R&B, Jazz, Top 40, Oldies, Christian, C&W, Tejano, Latino International, commercial radio jingles and musical comedy theater. Corrine performed extensively in many venues, including as guest artist for the Austin Symphony Orchestra, before the Texas Senate at the State Capitol, and at the Austin Aqua Fest for several years before moving to Dallas in 1996. She has studied and performed in 7 European countries and being bilingual, she has also performed in several cities throughout Mexico. In 1988, she was also the undefeated Female Vocalist for 7 weeks in a row competing for the title on the nationally syndicated television show, “Star Search” in New York City.
- “Sir” Walter Keith has a unique style of blending music with story-telling that entertains audiences and holds their attention. In the late 80’s and 90’s, Walter performed with “The Drifters”, “The Coasters”, and “The Turbans”. With his great audience appeal and smooth vocals, “Sir” Walter is a seasoned veteran with years of professional experience. He weaves his way through the Motown, R&B and soul eras energizing a room like no other.
- Janet C is an energetic, versatile singer who delivers her songs with a shining style all her own. As a featured singer and leader of several popular club bands in the Washington, DC area, Janet created a great following. She has an easy rapport with the audience and her friendly and upbeat-style is sure to please. With her spot on harmonies and power-house energy, this little dynamo adds her own flair and professionalism to Soul-to-Soul Review.
- Larry Vest is the band leader and music arranger for the Soul-to-Soul Review band. Even after years on the road and in Las Vegas, Larry is still having way too much fun to play only one instrument on stage. You might hear a trumpet, fiddle or saxophone—that’s Larry and his synthesizer! With an amazing ear for music, and his vivacious personality, Larry is the heart and soul of this hugely talented band.
- Jay Jetson is the bass guitarist & technician for Soul-to-Soul Review. He began his musical career on trumpet, switching to strings as a teen and playing with several Washington, DC bands. Jay joined his former band mates Tom and Janet C. to round out Mile 21’s fantastic rhythm section. The ever consummate professional, Jay now brings to the "Soul-to-Soul Review" band his signature style pumping back beat that keeps the crowd up and dancing!
- David Price is the band’s “pretty boy” keyboard and saxophone player. He has been playing with local Dallas bands since 1989 and as part of the Soul-to-Soul Review he brings the smooth sound that makes R&B and soul music come alive. David’s musicality and spirit shines through the whole band creating a dynamic and fun show.
- Tom Chialastri is the band’s rock solid drummer. After completing his six-year tour with the US Navy’s Sixth Fleet and White House bands, Tom played in Washington, DC club bands before moving to Texas. His dependable beat is the foundation for the band’s incredible sound. Tom’s talent, showmanship, energy and style truly make for a sensational listening and dancing experience.
- Tony Pennella - Guitarist: Tony has been a professional singer and musician since his first paid gig at age 13! Self taught for the first ten years of his playing he then studied music at the University of Miami and North Texas State University, adding a jazz and classical side to his growing mastery of the rock, country, blues and soul genres. Whether it is a smoky ballad or a rocking dance tune, Tony's style and energy always brings down the house!
Tony has performed or recorded with many nationally recognized entertainers and groups such as Marilyn McCoo, B.J. Thomas, Tom T. Hall, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Platters, Foxy, Head East and Jaco Pastorius.
He has also held steady gigs in the Dallas area with The Center Stage Band, Mark Harrell and the Dominant 7, Malcolm and The Road Crew and Vicho Vincensio's Moondance Orchestra! You have also likely heard Tony's guitar styles on many commercial jingles. Tony is in demand by many high-profile clients and has performed for Van Cliburn, Loretta Swit of M*A*S*H, Comedians Tommy Davidson and Yakov Smirnov, Dallas Cowboys Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Chad Hennings, Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk, Councilman Al Lipscomb, Deejay Tom Joyner, former Texas Governor Ann Richards, U.S. Senator Bob Dole, and Presidential candidate H. Ross Perot to name just a few!
